Spring 2008 Fast Laps Series The Spring 2008 Fast Laps Series will be held on 23 April, 30 April, & 14 May 2008. Rainout dates will be 21 May and 28 May. Registration will be at the gazebo behind the Day Lodge and starts at 6pm with the first rider going off at 6:30pm. Cost is $6 with funds being used to fund efforts to improve facilities at John Bryan State Park and trail advocacy efforts in the Miami Valley. 2008 50K Trail Run On 27 April 2008, the second 50K Trail Series sponsored by the Ohio River Road Runners Club will be held at John Bryan State Park starting at 7AM. The course will consist of two loops that will be repeated four times. One loop through Clifton Gorge and one loop through part of the mountain bike trails in the park. See http://www.orrrc.org for the latest information. 2008 Stargazes The Miami Valley Astronomical Society (MVAS) offers stargazes open to the public. These stargazes occur throughout the year. 2008 Cross-Country Mountain Bike Race A cross-country race is being planned for the mountain bike trails at John Bryan State Park. Stay tuned to www.mtbohio.org for the latest details. 2008 Get Fit Naturally Bike Ride This is part of the Get Fit Naturally bike rides for Ohio State Parks. This is a group bike ride through the mountain bike trails at John Bryan State Park. The ride is free and will start at 10AM. See the MVMBA forum on www.mtbohio.org for the latest information. Dates are being planned and will be posted when known. 2008 Cyclocross Race There will be a cyclocross race at John Bryan State Parkas part of the Ohio Valley cyclocross series. It is tentatively planned for 9 November 2008. The cyclocross schedule is fluid as details are hammered out over the summer so check the MVMBA forum on www.mtbohio.org or the Ohio Valley Cross series at http://www.ovcx.com for more information as the schedules are firmed up.

Amenities at the park include non-electric campsites, picnic shelters, walking trails and a reservable day-use lodge for private gatherings.
